Planted Deep

In Psalms chapter 1, the writer compares the life of a faithful follower to a tree planted by streams of water in verse 3. Only by constant feeding can we be healthy and bear healthy fruit. I often look out at the woods near the pond behind the house where you can see the tops of the roots near the waters edge. These great trees older than I am are high above the water. The roots are what secure mature and strengthen the tree. We must be grounded and fed on God’s word to grow spiritually. So sink your roots deep in Christ.
